Model Overview:

More photos of the USA Big Boy.    The packing styrofoam on the first engine was allowed to make contact with the paint and reacted with it.   The brackets in the first three photos were added because wooden platform split down one of the wheel flange grooves on the initial unpacking and unbolting of the engine.  In later production runs USA Trains used a different material for the bottom platform to eliminate breakage.  USA Trains was great to work with and kindly replaced this engine.
